In collaboration with Proto, Team SFLC.in, conducted a three-day series of Digital Security Training (DST) sessions on 08, 15 and 22 February, 2024. The training sessions were designed to equip journalists from Asia-Pacific region with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the digital world safely.

 

The Digital Security Training (DST) sessions were conducted virtually by Vignesh, Technologist, SFLC.in and Gyan P Tripathi, Fellow, SFLC.in.

  • Email security and privacy settings

  • Detection of spyware and stalkware

  • Privacy settings optimization

  • Balancing personal and professional data on social media

  • Preventing hacking and doxing using Password Managers with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Countering Bots and Trolls

  • Fundamentals of Phone-tapping and Device seizures

  • Countering online harassment and suspicious behaviour on smartphones
